Hollister has tapped Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale for their first celebrity collaboration. The move is part of the brand's first major move in rebranding themselves, as they try to compete with fast fashion brands like Zara, H&M and Forever 21.
The line itself is inspired by Hale's "off-duty" wardrobe, with dresses, leggings, skirts and tops with an undeniable laid-back, SoCal vibe.
“I am so fortunate to be working with Hollister on this collaboration. It is an exciting time for the brand and it has been an unforgettable experience being able to design quality clothes that reflect a Southern California lifestyle,” Hale said in a statement. “I definitely lean more towards a laidback look, which makes my style a great match for Hollister. I wanted to create carefree outfits that effortlessly transition from a coffee run to going out.”
To kick things off, Hale will be performing (she's also a country singer) at the Hollister House in Santa Monica, California on August 3rd.
The first of the two-part collaboration will be available in stores and online on August 8 and the second will be available August 29. Hollister says they are releasing the collection in very limited quantities, so die-hard fans, be warned. If last year's PLL line for Aeropostale was any indication, this line will sell-out pretty quickly.
