You Guys Into Taylor Swift’s Vogue Cover or What?

Well, Taylor Swift landed on Vogue, and congratulations to her and to Vogue and to everybody, but especially Swifty’s best friend whose wedding Taylor brought a Vogue reporter to. (Actually.)

The feature is what it is: Taylor Swift returns to the Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania on which she was raised, and the reporter can’t believe how down-to-earth/small-town/etc. she still is, and there’s a lot of praise, and a lot of “so what’s next?” and . . . yeah. I mean, sure! If you like Taylor Swift, you will love this piece. If you do not, then you will read it like I did and stand up on your chair and shout, “Calm down, everybody!” as loud as you possibly can.

Anyway, girlfriend is taking a break (maybe), suggesting she has “no idea” what’s next.

“This is the first time in ten years I haven’t known,” she said. “I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened . . . I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create anything.”

Except for maybe a fashion line.

“I would want it to be something that was relatable and accessible and everyday,” she described theoretically. “I don’t see it being couture.”

(Which is good because I think at this point, anyone who would wear couture would probably not wear couture designed by Taylor Swift?)

So there’s that. Also, the singer alluded to the fact that despite taking a break, she also might just jump back in the studio on a lark because who knows, you guys.

“I’m always going to be writing songs,” she assured. “The thing is, with me, I could very well come up with three things in the next two weeks and then jump back into the studio, and all of a sudden the next record is started. That’s an option, too.”

So don’t you dare think that for a second that the reign of Swift is over. It’s on. Still. Forever? Probably. (For sure forever.) And if you still haven’t gotten your fill”and you want to know more about what Taylor Swift has to say and what she wants to do and how she feels about Calvin Harris”the issue comes out soon, which is almost as exciting as the fact that there are now going to be four more Avatar films.
