Jessica Simpson’s Parents are Divorcing

Jessica and Ashlee Simpson’s parents, Joe and Tina are ending their 34-year marriage. The pair filed for divorce earlier this week. The reason? Rumour has it that Joe Simpson is gay.

According to tabloid banter, Joe Simpson actually came out to his family earlier this year, revealing that he tried to maintain his marriage but could not longer ignore the feelings he has for men. Apparently, Jessica and Ashlee did not take the news lightly.

They asked Joe how long he’d known he was gay, and he said he’d know it for quite a while, a source told the National Enquirer. Jessica felt that he’d not only deceived their mom, but her and Ashlee as well.

There are also reports that Joe has had a man on the side for quite some time.

However, reps for Joe and Tina say the split was amicable and has nothing to do with circulating rumours.

“It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time.”
