What Silhouette Suits You?

Ever wonder if what you’re wearing is making you look frumpy?

The clothes you wear should be figure flattering, but how do you know what works and what doesn’t?

Dressing for your body is easy when you have a guide, so here’s some of our favourite celebrity looks for every figure type:

Curvy

Curvy Body-Type: Christina Hendricks and Kim Kardashian - Dressing for Your Figure

If you have a curvy body-type like Christina Hendricks or Kim Kardashian you want to accentuate the smallest part of your body (your waist) as well as emphasize your best assets. If you’ve got an hour-glass figure, look for clothes that mimic that silhouette. Stick to feminine looks and avoid anything boxy.

Athletic

Athletic Body-Type: Ciara, Jessica Biel - Dressing for Your Shape

You worked hard for that body, so show it off! Being athletic doesn’t mean you can’t look feminine. Show off your toned legs and arms in shorter cuts and sleeveless tops. Jessica Alba and Ciara are great examples of women who use flirty outfits to accentuate their fitness.

Slim

Rooney Mara, Taylor Swift

Celebrities like Rooney Mara and Taylor Swift have smaller frames, so they use their clothing to add volume and curves. You can add volume with ruffles, horizontal stripes and prints, like they have above. The stripes on Taylor’s outfit give an illusion of a curvier body the way the stripes have been placed.
