Listen, I don't know what everyone's thoughts on Muppets Most Wanted are, but here are mine: I am so excited about it I could literally combust, and then form a brand new Muppet with only my leftover enthusiasm. Does that make sense? Definitely not, but that is the level of excitement we're dealing with here.
So now, imagine the glory of knowing not only is Miss Piggy going to be on the big screen again, she got Vivienne Westood to design her wedding dress for the film because OF COURSE SHE DID.
Now, to be clear: Miss Piggy is not engaged. Kermit the Frog has not proposed. But in the words of Liz Lemon, "I will marry myself." (Or at least buy a wedding dress before any of the other stuff happens.)
"Vivienne Westwood is fabulous — just like moi," she said. "When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi's new movie, Muppets Most Wanted, she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit 'iffy' about it was the Frog."
Well spoiler alert: the dress will actually appear in the film, and has been described by Vogue as "decorated in paillettes made using recycled plastic bottles" and "accessorized with a tulle veil."
But it doesn't stop at the wedding gown: Westwood has actually designed most of Miss Piggy's Muppets Most Wanted wardrobe, including a houndstooth check coat and hand-embroidered lace gown. This is unsurprising, of course, since Piggy has already worked with the likes of OPI and and Tommy Hilfiger. Girlfriend knows her fashion and beauty.
