Marc Jacobs To Release Makeup Line

If his clothes or perfumes aren’t enough, take solace that Marc Jacobs will be releasing a makeup line.

Still in the early stages of planning, Marc Jacobs told WWD that he’s already had a meeting with Sephora who will produce the line.

“I see makeup, fragrance – everything, really – as an opportuny,” Marc Jacobs said. “The idea of choosing a colour for your lip, or an eyeliner – it’s just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making these choices is something people really enjoy.”

You can say that again. And with a push for pastels and ultra-feminine cosmetics this spring, you can only hope Marc Jacobs’ makeup line reflects his affinity for colour and boldness.

While no release date has been confirmed – Marc Jacobs has only just had his first sit-down meeting, let’s remember that – it’s still safe to get psyched.

“We are currently working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be,” he continued. “What they’ll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good.”
