Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes and hubby DJ Sunnery James tied the knot this weekend during a small ceremony in Kroes’ hometown of Eastermar, Netherlands. Kroes’ is almost seven months pregnant — the couple are expecting their first child and baby boy in January”marking their one year anniversary since their engagement.
The bombshell strutted down the aisle in a dress from Spanish bridal line Pronovias (she is the face of the ads) and looked as gorgeous as ever”baby bump and all. The ceremony was joined by almost 30 of the couples closet family and friends and was a very intimate celebration.
The 25 year old model expressed her happiness through tweets on her wedding day,”Today is a day to never forget! My girlfriends are the best!!!” She also went on to tell Page Six, “We are so happy to start our new life together.”
A twist on the wedding gifts was that there were none! The couple asked guests to donate to the World Wildlife Fund or dance4life”a Dutch charity that Kroes is the ambassador for. Since Forbes named her the fifth highest paid model in the world for 2010 we can potentially see why the couple didn’t need anything for their wedding day as they opted to help others.
The couple is said to be spending their honeymoon on an island just north of Madagascar”how romantic.
