Vanity Fair Releases the International Best Dressed List of 2010

Vanity Fair released their International Best Dressed List and it includes everyone from first lady, Michelle Obama, to soccer stud, David Beckham.

But, Michelle was given a run for her money in her fourth consecutive year on the list with Britain’s first lady, Samantha Cameron.

This year’s list, however, is not about “fashion trends,” says Vanity Fair, but about “individual tastes” and the “exquisite self expression” of the fashionistas and fashionistos that made the list. And it is quite the list. With everything from actress Carey Mulligan’s pixie cut, to John Galliano’s Oliver Twist inspired look. Bow ties, classic Chanel, Lady Gaga’s completely original, Alexander McQueen loving style, and even a few obscure European royals.

Even Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue Magazine, lost out the battle for the best dressed magazine editor to Glamour’s Cindi Leive.

And lets not forget our favorite celebs who made the list. Diane Kruger, Javier Bardem, Martin Scorsese, Alec Baldwin, Pharrell Williams, and Maggie alongside her brother (and hottie!) Jake Gyllenhaal.

The International Best Dressed List is chosen by a ballot that Vanity Fair sends out the world’s most fashionable, including magazine editors, designers, stylists, photographers and retailers.

So the moral of the story of this year’s Vanity Fair International Best Dressed List is be yourself, be original, and use your fashion style to express your inner self. Like kitty-heeled pumps? Channel Michelle Obama’s perfectly elegant yet comfortable style. Love wearing bizarre head pieces on the daily? Well, if Lady Gaga can do it, why can’t you?
