Nick Cannon shared some exciting news with listeners of his “Rollin’ with Nick Cannon” radio show on Thursday.
“We’re having twins,” he admitted.
But Nick’s listeners weren’t the first to find out the news. On Sunday, Mariah and Nick were present at the “Christmas in Washington” special, alongside Ellen Degeneres, Matthew Morrison and Andrea Boccelli. After Mariah’s performance (which will air on TNT tonight), the couple was chatting backstage with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle when Barak asked if Mariah was having twins.
Against doctor’s advisement to keep the expecting twins a secret until Mariah is further along, she just couldn’t help herself, and, according to Nick, spilled the beans in all the excitement. I guess when Barack asks you about your pregnancy, you just can’t help but answer.
This news is great, considering the apparent struggles Mariah and Nick have had to get pregnant. She was seen going in and out of fertility clinics when they first got married in 2008, and even had a miscarriage. I’m sure the two of them couldn’t be more excited.
The twins are due in Spring 2011.
Congrats Mariah and Nick!
