Lady Gaga has been leading the celebrity pack in the anti-bullying initiative and now the singer is launching her very own foundation to help inspire young people. The Born This Way Foundation was developed with Harvard University, The California Endowment and the MacArthur Foundation.
Born This Way is an organization that provides mentoring and career development and deals with issues like self-confidence, well being [and] bullying.
Along with Lady Gaga, Mama Gaga Cynthia Germanotta will be serving as co-directors.
“My mother and I have initiated a passion project. We call it the Born This Way Foundation,” Lady Gaga said. Together we hope to establish a standard of bravery and kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment.
The Born This Way Foundation won’t make its official launch until next year but will be announcing their advisory board in the near future.
