Friends No More?

If you’ve been holding your breath since the 2005 finale of that little-known show, Friends, it’s time to exhale: Jennifer Aniston has shot down all hope of there ever being a reunion.

“I can’t imagine how you would do it,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “Unless you did it years from now. Then it would be: ‘Who are these guys? What are we watching?’ I can’t imagine what that would be.”

“It’s not normal,” she continued. “Friends is in your living room: Friends is not in a movie theatre. It doesn’t make sense to me. I think it would be going against its authentic self.”

Well, so much for that. With murmurs of a Friends reunion existing since the gang left that Manhattan apartment, it’s only taken six years for all hope to be extinguished. But that doesn’t mean the gang are hurting for parts. Matt LeBlanc recently won an Emmy for his lead on Episodes, and just this week, Jennifer Aniston was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Her latest film endeavour, Wanderlust, opens this week, and with Paul Rudd as her co-star (aka fellow Friends star), it’s safe to assume that it won’t be a cinematic disaster.

Here’s hoping Phoebe doesn’t get jealous.
