Sex And The City might not be completely over just yet. It has been rumoured since the second SATC movie was released in 2010 that a third installment might be in the works. Now, the show's executive producer Michael Patrick King says it might not be over just yet.
"Sarah Jessica and I both know what that final chapter is," King said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. "That doesn't mean it will or should be told, but I do think there's one story left. Whether it ever happens is a whole other situation. But there's four girls, and those girls are still on my mind."
This statement alone is bound to have fans everywhere speculating about what this last story might be. But King says he doesn't may much attention to fan chat on the internet.
"Oh, like I would ever look at the internet! I also sometimes go into the kitchen and just turn on the stove and put my hand on it to see if that hurts still."
Okay, so King really isn't a fan of eavesdropping on fan chatter about his four favorite ladies from New York City. But that's not going to stop us from picturing Carrie with a baby bump or trying to pinpoint which of the main characters is most likely to get killed off.
Carrie herself, Sarah Jessica Parker, agrees that there's a clear storyline if SATC 3 were ever to happen.
"A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell," she said. "But… it isn't a decision that can wait forever. I don't want to have to wear muumuus!"
