Lorde is going to take over the world, and I, for one, am completely okay with that. Her next order of business? A collaboration with MAC that launches in the summer.
The Grammy-winning pop star frequently works with MAC senior artist Amber Dreadon, who, according to New York Magazine, has helped Lorde pick out her trademark lip colours, and has created beauty looks for her tour.
"I have loved MAC cosmetics since I was a little kid," offered Lorde in a statement. "I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends! MAC has a very clear aesthetic, that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too."
("I WILL!" I scream, running into the computer. "I PROMISE!")
So far, the only other details we know is a portait-style image of Lorde released by MAC, and . . . that's about it. But according to the portrait, we can ssume we'll finally have access to the colours that have become so synonymous with the singer — which is especially awesome to have available during the summer, when some of us (hello) get a little sick of pastels and "summer-friendly" shades. Lorde understands. Praise the Lorde. Are you there, Lorde? It's me, the person who'd like to become your best friend.
Summer can't come soon enough for this very reason — but here's hoping we get more details before then.
