The Kardashians Cashed in Last Year

The Kardashian family who are all famous for, well, being famous, seem to have taught the rest of us a thing or two in how to master the life of the celebrity whose claim to fame is having money and releasing a few choice home-made videos.

In 2010 alone, the Kardashian family earned a collective total of $65 Million, through a combination of reality shows, endorsements, product lines, and public appearances. But it isn’t Kim, Kourtney or Khloe that are the big money makers of the family. It is none other than Momma Kardashian, Kris Jenner, who makes the big bucks and is the unexpected genius behind the Kardashian clan.

“My mother has just always been this ‘Let’s make water into wine’ person,” said Khloe. “She knows how to take one small talent or ability and grow it into something huge.”

Kris wasn’t sure so about how her plans for the family would turn out after Kim’s sex-tape with singer Ray J. surfaced. She was already shoppping around for a reality show and was sure that her daughter’s poor judgement would ensure the cameras stayed far away from her family. Oh how wrong she was.

“You can either be a problem maker or a problem solver,” says Kris. “And I’m a problem solver. My job as her mom and manager is to take care of the problem — whatever it is. I had to cry and get upset in the privacy of my own room and then come out and help her, because she’s my daughter.”

As manager of all her kids, Kris gets to take home 10% of all their profits for herself.

Kris’ daughters seem to have taken a few pointers and make sure every aspect of their lives can make them a little moula, even their Twitter accounts. They ensure their contracts always include “Twitter clauses” and Kim charges up to $25,000 just to mention a product in one of her tweets.

Beauty and brains? Now that’s a lethal combination.
