Jennifer Love Hewitt Designs Maternity Line for A Pea in the Pod

Jennifer Love Hewitt has designed a capsule maternity collection for A Pea in the Pod. Called L by Jennifer Love Hewitt, the collection features 15 pieces, including everything from basics like t-shirts and leggings, to maxi dresses and cowl-neck tops.

"Being pregnant for the first-time, I wasn't sure exactly what pieces I was going to need at different stages," Hewitt told People magazine. "When I went to A Pea in the Pod, I gravitated toward the pieces I could wear early on in my pregnancy and that would also grow with me as my body kept changing. I no longer felt overwhelmed. So with my collection, I wanted to design pieces that other moms-to-be could easily wear from the first trimester, throughout the pregnancy and even after their baby is born. It's one less thing you have to think about or stress over while you're preparing for or spending time with your new baby!"

Being that Hewitt herself is pregnant and expecting her first child next month, she's been able to get a lot of use out of her own pieces. She revealed her favorite are the leggings and maxi dresses.

"The leggings that have zippers on the side are my go-to piece in this collection. These the perfect maternity item — they stretch and move with you and have that added embellishment [that] makes you feel instantly chic," Hewitt said. "You can dress them up or down and feel great wearing them. I like to pair them with a tee or tunic for during the day and I can throw on a leather jacket and booties for the night time." She added that since she is in her last stages of pregnancy, the maxi dresses have been her go-to. "They make me feel feminine and they are so comfortable!"

L by Jennifer Love Hewitt will be available at A Pea in the Pod starting in March.
