Liz Lemon probably would have had the perfect awkward anecdote to soothe Tina Fey while she was agonizing over whether to have a second child. But Fey had a pretty good one, herself.

I went for my annual checkup and, tired of carrying this anxiety around, burst into tears the moment she said hello, writes Fey. I laid it all out for her, and the main thing I took away from our conversation was the kind of simple observation that only an impartial third party can provide: ˜Either way, everything will be fine.’
The gyno’s words of wisdom must have worked: Fey revealed that she is five months pregnant Wednesday on The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was later confirmed by her rep. The interview is set to air on April 12.
The Emmy-winning comedian and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond, already have a five-year-old daughter, Alice.
Fey also talks about the challenges of balancing a successful career, a growing family and a ticking biological clock in her memoir.
