Fans of Girls were probably a little shocked when the show’s creator/actress/jill-of-all-trades, Lena Dunham, tweeted a photo of her brand new pixie cut on Saturady. And as you should be: according to Lena’s stylist, she wanted something “radical.”
“She wanted to do something radical, I went for a pixie cut,” said hairdresser Rheanne White. “I love the idea of taking a look from the ’60s and making it new. Lena was my inspiration, she’s beyond brilliant.”
You can say that again. And it was her brilliance (read: filming the last scene of season two) that led to making such a big change.
“About to act in my last scene of season two,” Dunham tweeted on Saturday. “Then it’s time to lose my voice and do something self destructive vis a vis my hair!”
Enter: the pixie cut. Although nobody here is about to say there’s anything self destructive about being able to pull that off.
