The official campaign for Dolce & Gabbana's latest fragrance, Dolce, has arrived! And while we may not get the actual product until April 6, we can still bask in the glory of the spring-appropriate ad (and behind-the-scenes look), starring Canadian model Kate King.
The 20-year-old is already a familiar face at the brand's runway shows, and has made her mark on several magazine covers, too. And as described by Dolce & Gabbana themselves, she excudes the vibe that compliments the airy scent of the upcoming fragrance.
"[Dolce presents] a sensory journey through the heart of Dolce and Gabbana's DNA," they described. "The noble and evocative land of Sicily."
But think Sicily in the Downton Abbey era: in the video, you can see King's very feminine updo and lace pieces evoking a very romantic aesthetic, while her smoky eyes add to the allure of, say, romance and mystery. The print ads and video were also shot by Domenico Dolce himself, and marks his first time behind the camera for a fragrance campaign.
As for what the fragrance smells like, it's described as being opened with neroli leaves and papaya flower, with notes of white water lily, white daffodil, and white amaryllis (which has never been used in a scent before).
