Wanted: Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell is a wanted woman “ and not in the way of public appearances, fashion runways and magazine covers.  After an altercation with her limo driver yesterday afternoon, the former supermodel is wanted by Manhattan police.  (I know, right?  You can’t make this stuff up.)

Allegedly, Ms. Campbell responded not with her words, but with her fist (ha “ I’m hilarious), punching her driver then fleeing the scene, running away from E. 58th St. and 2nd Ave.   And so the real question of the hour is: was there a hidden camera crew filming for a horrible reality series somewhere?

Sadly, no.  As those of us (guiltily) well-versed in fashion gossip are aware, the legendary fashionista is renowned for her temper as much as her looks, having been accused of assault in the past, leading to headlines, lawsuits and charges.  (Terrifying.)  So while some of us may find humour in a situation revolving around a model, her wrath and an abandoned limousine (only because it seems like the workings of a horrible B-comedy), the legend of Naomi Campbell is actually quite unnerving, considering she seems to show no inkling of remorse, any responsibility for wrongdoing or any signs of stopping (especially now that she’s on the run).

If she’s found and gets another slap on the wrist, I’m gonna be peeved! This woman obviously has no respect for other people. She needs to take responsibility for her actions by learning how to gain some self control. Who does she think she is running around abusing others? I don’t care that she’s a model, to me, she’s a model of what I NEVER want to become: a bully!
