Pippa Middleton To Cement Party Planning Book Deal?

Having already landed on Barbara Walter’s ‘Most Fascinating People of 2011’ list, Pippa Middleton is continuing to stake her claim on the current pop culture landscape, with news that a party planning book has been given the greenlight.

According to reports, Michael Joseph of Penguin books has outbid other major publishers to secure the publishing rights – which are apparently worth £400 000, and for good reason.

“It will be about entertaining and how to throw the perfect party,” explained a source. “It’s not just about being the perfect hostess – it will also include recipes and information about how to host difficult types of events. Pippa has been sketching out the chapters and has decided to start each one with an amazing anecdote.”

(This is when we all buy the book to see if she dishes on any exclusive stories from Kate and Wills’ wedding.)

Of course, this isn’t Pippa’s first experience with writing, as she already edits The Party Times, an online newsletter on her Mom and Dad’s Party Pieces website. But that’s about all she’ll be keeping in the family.

“Pippa has turned down the offer to be a lady-in-waiting for her sister and wants a career in her own right,” elaborated the source. “But she knows she can’t be seen to be making money out of her connections. Kate thinks it’s a brilliant idea.”

And who wouldn’t? We bet she gave the thumbs up to that iconic bridesmaid’s dress in early 2011, too.
