Fall and winter, you guys! The best time of the year, BY FAR, and don't for one minute try and tell me you like summer (because I'm not interested, and this post is fall/winter-oriented ONLY) because now we've got a freshy and shiny F/W 2013-2014 campaign to bask in.
Enter: Jimmy Choo and Nicole Kidman, who've joined forces for a Hitchcock-esque, Old Hollywood Jimmy Choo Eyewear campaign starring the Oscar-winning actress.
Photographed by Mikael Jansson, Kidman is the star (natch) and protagonist for a series of shots meant to represent "empowered glamour." The print campaign has just launched at selected retailers across North America, and a short film will be released in August 2014.
"I really enjoyed being able to play a role that was strong, sexy, and in control," said Kidman. "I got into a relationship with the photographer and Mikael is very intuitive, he knows what I am thinking and feeling and is able to translate it through the camera."
Director Sandra Choi was equally psyched.
"Nicole has perfectly captured the mood of our AW2013 collection," she gushed. "Her character portrays the multi-faceted qualities of the Jimmy Choo woman for this season — strong, sexy, with a bit of beguiling sense of mystery."
The collection itself is inspired by Jimmy Choo's latest fragrance, FLASH, and feature Swarovski crystals. The sunglasses go for about $420 and have been available since November.
