Nicki Minaj is reportedly in talks with Simon Cowell to become a judge on his upcoming talent show “The X Factor.”
The R&B star had a meeting with Cowell in Los Angeles a few weeks ago, reported the New York Post‘s Page Six.
“Simon thinks Nicki is fantastic. She’s sassy, she looks great and she has bags of personality,” said a Page Six source. “This isn’t a done deal yet, but Nicki would be great for the show. She fits the ideal that ˜X Factor’ will be exciting, vibrant and different. And the show would also be great for her career.”
Former Island Def Jam Music Group chairman L.A. Reid was just confirmed as one of the judges. Reid launched the careers of megastars like Jay-Z, Justin Bieber and Rihanna, among many others.
Page Six reported other possible judges include Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, Tommy Mottola and British pop star Cheryl Cole.
Auditions for the show will begin on March 27 in Los Angeles.
