We may all admire Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s fashion sense (or at least respect how interesting it is), but now you can actually afford their designs!
WWD has revealed that the sisters will be releasing a line of more affordable bags under their brand, Elizabeth and James, this summer. And “affordable” is actually the kind-of-correct word for the Olsens to use: unlike their infamous crocodile bag, these will be priced between $125 and $625 (which, let’s be honest, is “affordable” for two multi-billionares).
However, Us Weekly has pointed us in the direction of some eyebrow-raising news: instead of using only leather, these bags will see lizard trim, Italian seude, New Zealand lambskin, and haircalf.
Yikes. So consider this an “affordable” line if you have a lot of money already. Or maybe we’re wrong, and just like standard or faux leather more?
