Marc by Marc Jacobs just revealed their newest faces for the brand. Eleven ordinary-people-turned-models were handpicked for their selfies on Instagram, and now they’re officially stars for MBMJ.
After such great success from the first #CastMeMarc initiative back in April, which attracted 70, 000 Instagrammers, the label decided to bring it back a second season. And this time it attracted 100, 000 entries. It’s like The Next Top Model but the Instagram Special.
MBMJ wanted more than just a “model” look. According to designers Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley and casting director Anita Bitton, they wanted the new faces to be characters that can bring a young and vibrant culture to the brand. This includes bubblegum pink-haired Eun Bi, graphic design nerd, Aaron Whitty; and a Lagos-born model slash photographer, Toks Adewetan.
David Sims photographed the new campaign, and Katie Grand styled the models in bright funky colours.
All 11 faces will be featured in the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 15 Collection.
