Lady Gaga’s Santa’s Workshop Heading to Barney’s

The Little Drummer Boy’s theme could be replaced with “Gaga ooh la la” with the announcement that Mama Monster will be opening a pop-up store at Barney’s just in time for Christmas.

Described by Vogue UK as “her own Santa’s workshop”, the store will be stacked with limited edition gifts created by both Gaga and Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti, and Barney’s chief executive officer Mark Lee could not be more excited about it: “Holiday is about joy, sharing and inclusiveness, and to me, Gaga really represents all of that. Her platform is so much about positivity, individuality and universality in a very today way.”

Amen.

And true to the singer’s form, the shop will not exclude anyone: “There are lots of things for fans of all ages, for kids and kids at heart,” Lee continued. “I think our existing and new customers will find fun things to share and give as gifts in a lighthearted and not-so-serious way.”

Opening up in mid-November, Gaga’s store will take up Barney’s fifth floor, and will feature books and CDs curated by the Lady herself – plus toys, accessories, makeup, candy and candles.

Now all we need to do is organize a trip to the Big Apple to get in the spirit by boosting the economy. (At least that’s what I’ll tell myself when justifying a lifetime supply of Lady Gaga-endorsed chocolate.)
