Update: It's a boy! The baby arrived at 4: 24 GMT weighing 8 lbs, 6 oz. The name has yet to be determined (you can still totally name him Anne T. Donahue, you guys — don't bind him by gender norms!), but we will obviously tell you when we hear it because obviously we (I) are (am) obsessed. Congrats, Will and Kate!
It's happening, you guys, finally: the Royal Baby is on its way!
Hours ago, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, and is curently being attended to by Dr. Marcus Setchell (the Queen's former gynecologist) and Dr. Alan Farthing.
This is the same hospital where Princess Diana gave birth to William and Harry, and also where Princess Anne gave birth to her kids. According to The Huffington Post, the Duchess will undergo natural childbirth, and has not learned the baby's gender. That, we will all learn when it is posted on the gate of Buckingham Palace.
Personally, I hope they name the baby "Anne T. Donahue."
