John Galliano Stripped Of Legion Of Honour Award

Try as we might, few of us can — or will — forget the infamous racist and anti-Semitic antics of John Galliano last year. And in addition to losing his spot a Christian Dior, John Galliano has now been stripped of his Legion of Honour award.

According to Vogue UK, the order was passed by French president Francois Hollande, after the designer’s conviction following “the incident.”

John Galliano earned the award in 2010 when he was made a Chevalier of the Legion Of Honour for his work in the fashion industry. What’s worse (for him) is that it’s one of the highest awards at this level.

Can’t say we’re surprised — or that this will be the end of the John Galliano fallout.
