Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli have decided to end their 11-year marriage. Confirmed by a rep, the Twilight actor and Beverly Hills, 90210 actress have not cited the reason for their split.
While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children, the couple said in a statement. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time.”
Trouble for the couple was first reported last July. Perez Hilton reported that Garth, 39, and Facinelli, 38, were separated and living apart. They denied the claims and Tweeted photos of the whole family together on a vacation.
Another rumor making its rounds on the Internet suggests Facinelli cheated on Garth with a woman he met while filming Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 in Vancouver.
Peter had been seeing another woman for quite some time, a source said. They tried to make it work for the sake of their children and Jennie played housewife for as long as she could but finally had enough. Jennie knew. As a lot of couples do, they simply grew apart.
Making it official on social media (as is so necessary these days), Garth unfollowed Facinelli on Twitter.
Garth has her own reality show on CMT in the works. Called Jennie Garth: Little Bit Country, the show does not have any appearances from Facinelli, but will show how the actress deals with the divorce. The show is set to premiere on CMT on April 20 at 9 pm EST.
Garth and Facinelli have three daughters together — 14-year-old Luca, 9-year-old Lola and 5-year-old Fiona. This was Facinelli’s first marriage and Garth’s second marriage. She was married to Daniel Clark in the mid ˜90s.
