Life is unfair and I say this because we still have no new Drake album and no real Drake news minus this: Drizzy will be releasing a new album in the spring, and the title of said album will be called, "Views From the 6." (Please let it just be covers of J.Lo's album, "On the 6" from 1999. Please.)
So the good news is, yes, there is a title. The bad news is that he hasn't even started working on it yet. (HE HASN'T EVEN STARTED. This would be like if you told everyone you were writing a book, and then everyone got psyched, and then they said, "Oh, what's it called?" and you answered them, but then you also said: "But I haven't started yet." Go back to bed, everybody.)
Anywho, Billboard reports that the album will be about Toronto (Drake's first true love), and we can expect it sometime in the spring, as per Drake's Twitter. As for what "Views From the 6" even means, it's in reference to the areas codes — and is a nickname created by Drake's pal, Jimmy Prime. So there's that.
It's also a huge week for Drizzy since he got nominated for his second Polaris Prize yesterday, and also a huge week for everybody else since each day brings us closer to OVO Fest, which, if you have tickets (I do not so thank you for reminding me, Drake news story), will obviously be the highlight of your life.
I'm so, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so proud of you.
