Coach Gets An Overhaul

Coach is gearing up for some big changes, or so it seems.

According to Vogue UK, Victor Luis will become the company’s new CEO in January — taking the place of Lee Frankfurt — just in time for Coach to re-launch itself as a “lifestyle brand.”

Evidently, Frankfurt (who’s been the CEO for over 30 years) is jazzed.

“This is an exciting day for Coach,” he said. “It’s a result of a several-year succession process, which has led us to Victor Luis. I couldn’t be happier with the appointment. I’m looking forward to being tied at the hip with Victor during this transition process.”

And what a transition it will be! Coach US will be completely rebranding over the next year, which will see the label going in a new direction. In January, it was announced that this “lifestyle” era will see women’s apparel and a ready-to-wear line. However, a footwear line will come first, then the clothes, with jewellery and watches quickly following.

2013 looks to be a big year for Coach! But will Gwenyth Paltrow still be the campaign star? (Dun, dun, dun…)
