Charlize Theron Adopts A Baby

As proven repeatedly, Charlize Theron is nothing like her acclaimed Young Adult character. And now, the differences couldn’t be more pronounced: reported yesterday, Charlize Theron has adopted a baby.

According to her representative, “Charlize Theron has adopted a child. She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson.”

CUTE.

Sources confirmed to Us Weekly that this has been in the works for a while. “[Charlize Theron] has always wanted to be a mom,” said the anonymous source. “She is glad to be able to do it on her own now and is so happy to be a mom.”

And why shouldn’t she be? According to the same source, Jackson – Charlize Theron’s first child – comes two years after the actress’ split with Stuart Townsend, and in an interview with Vogue, began a new chapter in her life.

“This is the first time being single [in my life],” she had said. “From the time I was 19, I’ve been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month.”

Well here’s a whole new exciting type of relationship that Carlize Theron can consider herself in.
