Britney Spears is no stranger to the rumour mill, but thanks to the diligent research of, well, “sources”, word on the street is that the singer will be an engaged woman by nightfall.
According to TMZ, Jason Trawick will be proposing to Britney Spears in Las Vegas tonight, but that she’s expecting he proposal, so it won’t be a total shock.
The same sources maintain that Britney Spears’ camp have approved of the union, but that “the matter will go before the judge in the conservatorship case” in which the judge will then sign off on it. (Remember the whole “Britney Spears needed some guidance for a while”-gate? This stems from that.)
TMZ has also “learned” that Jason asked Britney’s dad for permission before popping the question, and that the duo will have a prenup – a smart move for the woman who once had to clean up the mess of Kevin Federline and all that he was associated with.
Of course, nothing will be confirmed until tonight when – and if – we find out Britney Spears is going to be Mrs. Trawick (well, likely still Britney Spears). But if this ends up happening, it will be quite the red-letter week for the singer, whose song “Till The World Ends” earned Pitchfork love, and made Billboard‘s list of the year’s best 25 songs.
And they said she’d never come back.
