Beyonce and Jay-Z Welcome Blue Ivy Carter

It's good news for Beyonce and Jay-Z who welcomed their baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter, after weeks of speculation around whether Beyonce had already given birth, whether she was even pregnant, or what on earth was actually going on. (For the record, we still don't have the answer to any of those questions.)

However, Beyonce's sister Solange, Tweeted her excitement at her new niece, saying Blue Ivy "is the most beautiful girl in the world." And, well, obviously.

Of course, Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby name choice has already come under the spotlight, with question of whether Ivy was in relation to the couple's favourite number, four, which they wear on their fingers and is also their anniversary date (April 4, 2008).

But what's really getting headlines is the attention surrounding little Blue Ivy, who was born at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan after it was put on "lockdown", and other expecting parents were allegedly removed from the floor to make room for Beyonce. According to several reports, Jay-Z and Beyonce treated "the hospital like it was their own and nobody else mattered" after the hospital "locked [new parents] into the NICU" only to usher them downstairs.

Yikes.

Checking in under "Ingrid Jackson", Beyonce spent Friday onward on the sixth floor before she and Blue Ivy were taken to the fourth floor where the celebrations began until leaving later this weekend.

Who says money can't buy you happiness or an entire hospital floor?
