Lately, we feel like the heroine in an age-old fable: we’re too hot and sweaty to want to slather lotion on from head to toe. We’re too dry to not use something in our hair, on our face and on our body. And we’re fairly fussy so we’re having a hard time finding a head-to-toe body product that feels just right. Or at least we were, until we discovered Nuxe Prodigieuse Neroli Multi-purpose Dry Oil for Face, Body and Hair.
Vegan, organic, responsibly sourced and cruelty free, we’ve been rubbing this oil on daily. Well, at least on our face and body (with extra attention to our elbows, heels and knees). For our hair, we massage a tiny bit in on the ends to keep them soft and smooth whenever our frizzies get out of control. Then, at the end of every week we drench our strands from root to tip and let the dry oil soak in for 10 minutes before washing it out with shampoo and conditioner. It’s like a magical elixir that gives us days worth of soft and manageable skin and swishy hair—all courtesy of the oil’s moisturizing formula.
Light to the touch, yet highly hydrating, the formula is a blend of two organic vegetable oils, plum and sesame, and it absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky or greasy film or feel. A composition of fatty acids, the organic plum oil nourishes and repairs our hair and skin, while the organic sesame oil’s combination of essential fatty acids and sensory properties ensure it seeps in quickly, leaving a dry finish on our skin and hair. But our favourite part is the light and delicate scent of neroli that the dry oil leaves behind, that and the irresistible satin sheen on our bare legs and arms.
