Jourdan Dunn will be launching her own clothing line for kids and young adults. The British model has signed a licensing deal with Fluid World (the company that helped take Hello Kitty international) for at least two collections (for now, anyway).
“I love kid’s clothes and have been obsessed with them ever since my son was born,” Dunn said of her decision to start with children’s wear. “Through my career in fashion I have come to love and respect great design, and as a mum I also expect great quality and value for money, as well as the coolest clothes for my son, Riley. I am thrilled to be working with Fluid World, and I am looking forward to developing my own collection and turning my ideas into reality.”
Dunn will be designing the pieces herself and intends to include a full range of sweatshirts, jeans, jackets, t-shirts, leggings and accessories. The hope to to appeal to a ‘broader audience.” Fluid World is will distributing the collection, but they are still looking to partner with an international retailer.
“Jourdan Dunn is a fashion icon who sets trends and influences style,” said Andrew Lane, CEO of Fluid World,. “I am delighted to be working with her on this exciting project and bringing her cool urban style to a wider audience.”
Hopefully this is just the beginning of Dunn’s career as a designer; I’d love to see her take on women’s fashion. I also can’t wait to see her son Riley modeling some of the outfits (he’s kind of Instagram famous, thanks to Dunn’s adorable photos).
