R.I.P Brittany Murphy

As I sit researching holiday make-up ideas, my sister sent me a text telling me actress Brittany Murphy died this morning at age 32.

Cute, bubbly and loveable, Brittany lit up the screen in flicks like Sin City & Just Married, not to mention Fasterkill Pussycat is still one of my all-time fave girlie anthems.

It bugs me that as I’m googling what happened, people are already weighing in their expert opinion as to why she went into cardiac arrest. I feel like someone should remind these jerks that R.I.P stands for Rest in Peace, not Rest in Public. Many stars are reaching out via Twitter to express messages of condolences, among them Murphy’s ex-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher. And then there are the not-so appropriate messages, like the one from incomprehensible douche-bag Perez Hilton who tweeted, “Dear @LindsayLohan and Courtney Love, wake up!!!! Please go to rehab again and GET IT TOGETHER before it’s too late! R.I.P. Brittany Murphy”. Seriously?

An autopsy will confirm the cause of death in due course. If we should take anything away from this tragic death, it’s that we should all spend a little more time with our own families instead of harassing a family that just became one less. Surprisingly, Khloe Kardashian’s twitter message is more appropriate:

“Rest In Peace Brittany Murphy, You will forever be missed.”

Until the next Whisper…

You can always count on Perez Hilton when it comes to inappropriate and inconsiderate blurbs.
I’m glad that there are bloggers like you who blow that whislte on people like him and bring what’s really important to the surface – the recognition of a wonderful woman who will be missed.
