TOMS Wants You to Go Shoeless

TOMS is a shoe company (as we all know), so why do they want you to go shoeless? Simple: to bring global awareness to children’s health and education.

On April 16 at noon, TOMS invites you to join them for their One Day Without Shoes walk in Toronto, where you’ll begin at the corner of Victoria Street and Gould Street, and continue onto Yonge, Queen Street West, Bay, and Dundas, before returning to the starting location.

Naturally, this walk will take place without shoes, and if you can’t go, TOMS ask that you at least participate wherever you are — on top of telling friends, coworkers, and everyone why via the hashtag, #WithoutShoes.

If you head to the official One Day Without Shoes website, you’ll see where and how you can get involved, and which charities you can donate to (since TOMS is a for-profit, and doesn’t accept donations). This isn’t the first Day Without Shoes, and the movement is international, so if you don’t live in Toronto, and want to participate, find out what’s happening in your city, and why this cause has created such a stir.
