In a survey conducted by OnePoll, it’s been established that women spend over 25 000 hours “ three years “ shopping throughout their lives. (Quelle surprise “ I just want to know how my statistics were incorporated into this survey without my knowledge.)
Apparently “ according to the research poll “ women spend the most time grocery shopping (boring for those of us who have an affinity for take-out menus and bagels on the go), followed by time spent clothes perusing, making an average of 300 shopping trips throughout the year. (That 300 is per year, right? Or am I one of the freakish exceptions to this study?)
Incorporating even window shopping (51 trips out of the 300), the results of this poll have undoubtedly provided more than enough fuel for men (dragged along for their opinion/company) who can now successfully argue that indeed, we are all spending years off our lives.
In financial news, at least the economy can breathe a sigh of relief since there seems to be no lack of consumerism on everyone’s part “ especially since the average woman allegedly spends at least 100 hours a year hunting for clothes.
Now the real question of the hour: does vintage browsing still count?
