The Grammys are this weekend (February 8, if you want to get specific — which I do, thank you) and we've got some bad news: the nominated Taylor Swift will not be performing live.
Cue: sobbing. See also: I know, guys. I mean, I personally have tickets to her concert in October (thank you, worst seats in the house), but I'd still like to see her perform "Style" live and in colour, and as a way for me to confirm that it is, indeed, about Harry.
Anyway, here's what she had to say:
"Hey guys!" she wrote on Tumblr. "A lot of you have been asking about the Grammys this week and I just wanted to give you an update. I'm really excited to be nominated for 3 Grammys this year and even more excited that I'll be there having a dance party/rage fest in the audience. I will also be presenting the award for Best New Artist."
But:
"Since my whole life is wrapped up and entangled in the planning of The 1989 World Tour right now, I'm not going to be performing on the Grammys this year. I need this time to focus only on the tour. I hope I'll see you out there at one of the stadiums this summer having a rage fest of your own!"
YOU WILL, TAYLOR. But also: what a buzzkill. True, Madonna, Sia, Ed Sheeran, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Eric Church, Pharrell, Usher, Lady Gaga, and others will be performing, but still. Some of us wanted to see Tay-Tay's acting chops as one would.
Here's the rage-fest, guys!
