Stella McCartney is releasing a children’s capsule collection called Little Miss Stella. The designs are inspired by a character created for Stella McCartney in a children’s book by illustrator Adam Hargreaves that was used for a fashion show invitation in 2006.
The 32-page book immerses Stella McCartney in the Mr. Men and Little Miss book series. Little Miss Stella meets Little Miss Nobody, designs her a suit and utlimately solves her problem of being a nobody by transforming her into a somebody.
The Little Miss Stella capsule collection is aimed at newborns to 14-year-old girls and includes seven pieces — a t-shirt, jumper, pyjamas, bag, and an all-in-one baby’s suit. Each piece also comes with fabric pens that can be used to draw on the clothing.
The collection is said to launch at the end of August and will be available in Stella McCartney stores and online.
