A couple of months ago, we learned that Sarah Jessica Parker would be launching a footwear collection — to which anyone who's ever even heard of Sex and the City said, "Well, duh." But now, the first image has been released. And believe it or not, it looks exactly like the Manolo Blahnik "shoe myth" of SATC's fifth season.
Lucky has been given a first look at the line that will be launching at Nordstrom (and you can pick up their latest issue to analyse SJP's design), and the real question is: did any of us expect her shoes NOT to look like they were donated by Carrie Bradshaw? (Especially since she's working with George Malkemus of Manolo Blahnik?) Said Parker herself, "Carrie's love of shoes meant I got to wear hundreds of pairs — and the more I wore, the more I realized that they are often the starting point of the style choices we make. Sometimes in fashion, little else matters but the shoe."
I hear you, girl. If anyone were to try and take away my Doc Marten's, they'd be cursed (by me) (and likely also on the receiving end of some colourful language).
Anyway, if this one image has peaked your interest, you don't have much longer to wait before you can make her full line yours. It launches at the end of February, and will retail between $200 and $400 per pair.
