Shailene Woodley has revealed something I've suspected for a while — she doesn't care about fashion. Okay, that revelation might not seem like a big deal, but when it comes to Hollywood, it's almost unheard of.
Woodley says she leaves her red carpet and publicity fashion decisions completely up to her stylist. But when she is hanging out with her Divergent costar, Theo James, she is probably wearing one of the three t-shirts she owns.
"I don't care about fashion. I have a stylist that does care about fashion and tells me what to wear," Woodley told Yahoo! Lifestyle UK. "[Theo and I] don't own many clothes in our personal lives. I own three t-shirts."
Hopefully she has also hired someone to do her laundry several times a week.
Woodley, 22, also believes in herbalism and uses only all natural beauty products. However, she is trying to be a bit more flexible for the sake of her career.
''I started learning about it when I was 14. I learnt about how corrupt agriculture was in America and I wanted to gain sovereignty. It's who I am, it's my lifestyle," she said. ''You have to turn the wheels slowly. It would be disrespectful to turn up at a premiere in clothes from a thrift shop.''
Woodley is certainly a breath of fresh air in Hollywood. I actually think it could be interesting to see what kind of red carpet outfit she would come up with on her own through thrift shopping. A little vintage can go a long way.
