Paul Delvecchio, aka Pauly D from Jersey Shore, is getting his own show.
MTV has picked up the show, which will be called Pauly’s World. They’ve already filmed a pilot that’ll air on MTV.
Pauly D’s the first cast member of Jersey Shore to get his own show, even though he certainly isn’t the most well-known when compared to Snooki or The Situation.
But that might be the whole point of the show “ to explore his personal life.
We know viewers are curious about his life away from the shore, said Chris Linn, MTV’s executive vice president of programming and head of production. He’s distinguished himself onscreen as the fun-loving, well-coiffed and dependable guy you can’t help but want to hang out with.
Maybe so, but there’s always the risk that his new show could uncover some skeletons or an unlikeable side of Pauly. But for Jersey Shore‘s audience (i.e. guilty pleasure-indulgers), that might just add fuel to the fanbase.
Personally, I hope it goes well. It’d be nice to see a guido who doesn’t refer to his abs as a separate entity in the limelight more often.
