Apparently playing a vampire and werewolf loving teenage girl sure does pay off. Twilight actress Kristen Stewart is currently the highest paid actress in Hollywood, according to Forbes magazine.
Between May 2011 and May 2012, Stewart earned $34.5 million. $12.5 million came from the last two Twilight movies — she even managed to secure a portion of the movies’ overall profits in her contract.
However, Stewart didn’t make any more than her costars Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner. It was her role in Snow White and the Huntsman that propelled her the top spot. And, at the age of 22, she is also the youngest on this year’s list of highest paid actresses by 16 years.
Cameron Diaz is this year’s second highest paid actress, making $34 million from last year’s Bad Teacher. Sandra Bullock follows with $25 million (who is still cashing in on her role in 2009’s The Blind Side), Angelina Jolie with $20 million (mostly from endorsements) and Charlize Theron with $18 million.
Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Meryl Streep, Kristen Wiig and Jennifer Aniston round out the top 10.
