Kardashians Lose Makeup Line Lawsuit

The Kardashian clan have lost a lawsuit regarding their makeup line, Khroma. The suit was filed by another beauty brand, Kroma, for trademark infringement. The judge handling the case, Audrey Collins, decided to block all future sales of the Kardashians’ line.

Basically, this means the company that licenses Khroma, Boldface, is not allowed to restock any of the Khroma items in any of the thousands of stores that carry the products.

I’m sure the Kardashians are none-too-pleased with this decision since they were recently planning a massive expansion for Khroma. The products have only been available at Ulta stores, but they were supposed to hit shelves at Duane Reade, CVS and Sears later this month.

Luckily for the reality stars, they were already given a $1 million advance for the expansion, so I guess they really don’t have much to complain about. However, they were expected to make approximately $5 million in royalties.

Khroma has been pretty successful thus far, making more than $1.5 million in its first month of sales.
