On June 14, Race With Nike in Toronto

Get psyched, gang: on June 14, Nike is holding a 15 km race for women in Toronto, which is a pretty big deal because it's the first time they've actually done one in Canada. (Seriously: Paris, Milan, and New York have done various races, but not us. So our time has come.)

This news comes follow's Sunday's celebration/re-launch of Nike+ Run Club. There, Claire Rankine, Nike+ Running Global Head Coach Chris Bennett, Nike+ Toronto Running Coach Rejean Chiasson, Nike Master Trainer Eva Redpath, and Nike athlete Phylicia George told attendees all about Nike+services, changes to the Nike+ Run Club, and then announced June's event.

Which brings me to our next topic: now you can officially register for this event, too. Here are the details.

Taking place the weekend of June 11-14, you have the option of running 15 km on June 14, or one mile on June 12. It costs $120 to register ($100 if you're a student), and you can register right here (at the official site)

There's also a training program in place, too, and it's scheduled to start April 4.

So it's officially spring now! You can run outside and not freeze! The world is your oyster! Hashtag #NRC or #BetterForIt if you want to get involved on the social media front, too.
