Destiny’s Child is Back!

Yesterday, music fans were reeling after learning that Justin Timberlake will soon be releasing new music (it has been 7 years, so I understand the excitement). But a another little exciting tidbit from the music world went overlooked — Destiny’s Child will be reuniting for one more album!

Okay, so the album is actually a compilation of their most adored love songs (Beyonce is a busy woman). But, the album does feature one new song from the girl group, call Nuclear. That’s at least something, right?

“I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years!” Beyoncé© posted on Facebook along with a photo of the Love Songs album cover.

The album is said to include past hits like Brown Eyes, Now That She’s Gone, Cater 2 U, and a remix of Say My Name.

I don’t expect this to turn into a major reunion with a tour and tons of press. This was simply a matter of Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams living up to their contractual obligations. Destiny’s Child owed one more album to Columbia Records. This was simply the easiest way to to go about doing that.
