Coco Rocha isn't impressed by celebrities hailed as style icons when they merely hire stylists. In an interview with Maire Claire, she said point blank, "Now a 20-year-old borrows couture, and is crowned an icon." (Which, personally, I don't think is in an inaccurate claim.)
The question came on the heels of who Rocha's own style icon is, to which she answered, "Elizabeth Taylor. She was the world's most glamorous woman in the days before celebrity stylists."
However, according to the Daily Mail, the model does has an affinity for Zooey Deschanel, revealing she "absolutely love[s] New Girl" and that "it's getting a litle creepy how much [she] talks about it." (SAME HERE, MS. ROCHA. We're on the same page.)
And speaking of the same page (segway!), Rocha had further praise for her trademark red lipstick, who praised Yves Saint Laurent's line.
"The dramatic red lipstick spreads like butter," she said. "But if you're not careful, you can end up looking like a crazy person."
And as someone who realized she had lipstick smeared on her face after dinner this weekend, let me just tell you: she isn't wrong.
