Product Of The Week: Facile Reusable Press-On Nails

Here’s the deal. We don’t often have long nails. We covet them, we wish we were the type to hit the nail salon twice a month for a luxurious and pampering mani, but we don’t. We can’t. We type too much, scratch too often and let’s face it, we’re way too clumsy and always ding our polish before even leaving the salon.

Facile’s Reusable Press-On Nails are our dream mani come true. A reliable party favour that we can pick up when we need it, like now, during the holiday season.

Founded by fellow Canadian Alexa Liberatore, Facile’s high quality press-on nails and nail care are the busy, smart and (if you’re like us) blundering awkward girl’s get-pretty-quick fix. Each ready-to-wear set of colourful, patterned, fashionable faux fingernails come in a pack of 24, guaranteeing there’s the right size for each finger and thumb. The portable packs also come with all the trimmings inclusive of the application instructions, glue, a cuticle pusher, alcohol wipe, and nail tabs, buffers and file. All we have to do is pick our collection of the moment and start pressing them on. Which, BTW, can be a harder decision than you’d think, as Facile has double digit options. Lately, our go-to favourite has been “Hourglass” with its statement making nude pink and burgundy patterned, medium length and almond curved tips.

Once the party’s over, taking them off is easy peasey. All we have to do is soak our tips in warm water for about 10 to 15 minutes while we catch up on Below Deck, then use the cuticle stick provided to lift each falsie off our natural nails, buff away any leftover glue and tuck all 10 Facile nails back in their box for the next time we need a little glam.

Facile Press-On Nails in “Hourglass”, $24 for the kit, available online at www.facile-nails.com.
