In case you missed it, Kylie Jenner launched her own range of lip products on Cyber Monday. The Kylie Jenner Lip Kits came in three different nude shades, Candy K (pink nude), Dolce K (taupe nude), TrueBrown K (rich dark brown) matte lip creme, and a perfectly matched lip liner pencil for $29. If you’re a makeup junkie, and frequent Sephora shopper like myself you’ll know $29 is a pretty good price for two high quality lip products. Combine an amazing price, with a Kardashian/Jenner and there’s no surprise it obviously sold out in minutes.
Perhaps surprisingly though is that people are pawning their lip kits on eBay like Justin Bieber tickets. I’m sorry to tell you that if you want to get your hands on a product that will give you Kylie lips, you might have to sell a vital organ.
On eBay the lip kits are selling anywhere from $127 to $4900 for ONE COLOUR. I don’t know about you guys but I haven’t seen people go this crazy with markups since Justin Bieber’s My World tour. The nearly $5000 price tag seems outrageously extreme, and actually makes $127 look like you’re getting a good deal, despite the fact that it’s still four times the original price.
From the reviews I’ve been seeing, the products are great quality, and I’m not shocked. Kylie and her sisters are pretty specific when it comes to putting their name on something. Kylie’s clip-in hair extensions are some of the best on the market, so it would only make sense that she made sure that the product was just right before releasing it to her fans.
I love Kylie (as previously stated in this article) but I think that buying a Lip Kit at an inflated price, is just ridiculous. Save your money and visit your local Shoppers or Sephora for a dupe.
